Naranzah was created to offer unique Mongolian crafts and products online that are rare or even impossible to find in the USA while fairly supporting the locals who create them.

We aim to give the local artisans and craftsman an audience they otherwise could not receive.

In Mongolia, it is difficult to take online payments and shipping overseas for even a small item is very expensive. Additionally, there are language barriers, general lack of knowledge, high start-up costs of selling to a worldwide market that make it prohibitive for them. 

We are a crafter and small business owner (who sells handmade pet toys) that wanted to learn how to play the the Morin Khuur and fell into an interesting world. After years of friendship and their menotrship, we partnered with Uuguul (a cultural center founded in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia) to help us to connect with the local artisans and crafts people.

Uuguul helps personally select, purchase, and ship us the items that we offer direct from Mongolia. Additionally, they create many of the calligraphy, paintings, and other art that we offer. They ensure a fair price is paid to the makers of each product.

We donate a portion of our revenue back to Uuguul to re-distribute and use to continue their research and studies into the reservation of ancestral art and culture of Mongolia. Their primarily focus is on the Morin Khuur, the Urtiin Duu (long songs) and the Mongol language but has begun to move into traditional painting as well.

Some of the products we sell are already complete and and we simply photograph them and create the listing. With others products we may combine various individual components into one finished piece. All are mailed direct from us in the USA to your door.
