Description

A set of a white shaman hat and white beard to serve as the base of a shaman headdress. Both pieces are made in Mongolia and ready to be customized and finished to your liking. It includes the Maihavach (beard) and Kharavach (hat with face). The beard will need to be sewn onto the mask or attached to another piece of the costume to stay on on the wearer.

Kharabshi (the beard) – The blind for the eyes. The fringe descending into the eyes is made in the form of a visor, symbolizing ritual blindness and helps focus the ability of the wearer to see in the world of spirits. Kharabshis are also called zalaa (brush) or mendas (silk). Through the fringe, fire and spirits are clearly visible but people around are not visible.

Kharavach (the hat) – A mask/hat with face embroidered onto it which serves as the face for the shaman for the outside world while his is hidden behind the beard. It has two ties in the back to secure it around the top of your head.
